I was on holiday recently and decided to try a new ice cream flavor from one of Europe's top commercial ice cream makers. I don't normally do this as I much prefer homemade ice cream but it was a hot day and the combination of ingredients displayed on the advertising board for this new popsicle looked too good to resist.
The ingredients combination was:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Milk chocolate coating
- Maple syrup and chopped walnuts mixed into the chocolate coating
Only when I finished eating the ice cream and looked at the photo I had taken did I realise that it was initially hard to detect against the background. The background of the sandy beach with its ridges and shadows was so similar to the popsicle that the ice cream seemed to be in camouflage!
"Camouflage Ice Cream" - now there's an idea for some really unusual ice cream recipes. I need to make time to see what I can cook up. Watch this space!
